Chanel Iman Wraps It Up
I originally posted this back in 2007 and just ran across it in the archives. I’m always browsing Mane and Chic archives for inspiration. As you should know, this is super model Chanel Iman. This image was taken when she was just starting out, she was 17 years old at the time these particular photos were taken.
You can create this style at home by finding a chic scarf or find a fab piece of fabric, just wrap it around your head and tie in the front to make a bow for drama or tie in the back for a subtle look. You can also leave some curly tendrils in the front and sides to complete Chanel’s look. Super easy and très cute.

Curls to Know: Herieth Paul
Harieth is a 14-year-old modeling sensation. She’s one of the newest faces at Women Direct. Her online portfolio is rife with images of her with bone straight weaves, but this week I was shocked to see that she’s been rocking a TWA for the S/S 11 runway shows. I think it’s lovely that she shed the weaves, I hope they keep them off because she is killing it without them. Don’t you think?

Sophina Brown currently plays the role of Nikki Betancourt on the CBS tv series entitled “NUMB3RS”. Previously she played Raina Troy on the CBS drama series “Shark”. She had a recurring role on “Chappelle’s Show,” and guest-starring roles in the CBS series “Without a Trace,” “Hack,” “The Education of Max Bickford” and the daytime drama “As the World Turns.” She has also guest-starred in “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Strangers with Candy” and “Twins.” Brown has also appeared on state as Nala in the Broadway production of “The Lion King,” the role of Carmen in the national tour of “Fame — The Musical” and roles in regional productions of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “As You Like It” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” She also had a small role in the 2007 film Because I Said So alongside Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore.
She needs an endorsement deal with all of that fabulous hair.
